Mental Toughness

Mental Toughness is a two week, intensive boot camp style, part of the CLIMB CDC Workforce Training Institute screening process. During this period, potential participants will engage in activities that will not only test their drive and determinination, but also their willingness to step outside of what may be their comfort zone.

This process is meant to narrow the field of applicants and allow for greater success of each participant as they move through our 9 month Workforce Training Institute program.

Checking in and picking up your name tag are the first stops for a Mental Toughness day. This acountability is similar to clocking in at a job and this employment environment is what we look to create from day one.

Workforce Counselors make sure everyone knows what is expected of them and what they can expect from staff as well.

Physical activity is encouraged throughout the 9 month program. However, during Mental Toughness, it is a requirement. If the participant has to modify because of a limitation, we encourage them to modify and continue participating.
